Dr. Mark Frobb is a pain management physician with a special focus as an expert in chronic pain management, orthopedic medicine rehabilitation and acceleration/deceleration spinal injuries (otherwise known as whiplash-associated disorder).

Critical to Dr. Frobb’s expertise in the evaluation and treatment of acceleration/deceleration spinal injuries is his postgraduate osteopathic training in manual physical therapies, modalities of therapy that he incorporated into his pain management and rehabilitation practice over his 40 years of clinical experience. Dr. Frobb also has accreditation in medical acupuncture, a modality of therapy employed in conjunction with other forms of medical management in the treatment of chronic myofascial pain syndromes.

In conjunction with a four decade career in patient care and rehabilitation services, Dr. Frobb provides third-party independent medical examinations (IMEs) in the functional assessment of automobile and work-related injuries for insurance companies and at the request of legal representatives for their individual clients.

In addition to providing client-based medicolegal services to regional legal advocates, Dr. Frobb has provided expert medicolegal opinions to the Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA), publishes regularly in peer-reviewed literature in his area of expertise and is an active presenter at continuing medical education conferences.

Dr. Frobb has prepared expert medicolegal opinions for both defence and plaintiff counsel and has been repeatedly qualified in the Supreme Court of British Columbia on the non-surgical treatment and management of vertebral spinal column pain syndromes, including whiplash-associated disorder.
